Jacques Delors et les États-Unis : la politique américaine active d’un président de la Commission européenne (1989-1995)

Abstract : This article analyses the American policy devised by Jacques Delors as President of the European Commission. Delors tried to normalize the transatlantic relations and to make of them an asset for post-Cold War European influence. This policy enhanced the Commission position outside and inside the EEC but it costed him part of his influence and produced few concrete results.
