Les nouveaux interventionnismes militaires africains : Une redéfinition des conditions de la puissance au sud du Sahara ?

Abstract : The new military interventions in AfricaA redefinition of powers south of the Sahara ?
Since the end of the Cold War, we can observe in Africa the rise of armed interventions perpetrated not by superpowers or ex-colonial powers, but by powerful African states. This new interventionism, which reemploys the use of force as a modality of foreign policy underlines the changes in Africa’s insertion within the international system and within interstate relations, and provokes reflection upon the current redefinition of the conditions of power south of the Sahara.
