Inégalités, pauvreté, globalisation : faits et débats

Abstract : The article first reviews the methods for measuring economic inequality around the world. It then sets out the major results of recent research measuring inequality and its evolution. Next it outlines the debate over of the past twenty years over the links between globalization, poverty and inequality. To conclude it examines in more detail the deindustrialization in Europe and the inequality in its effects on different groups.
