Résumé

This edited volume comprises 13 chapters (10–29 pages each) written by 16 international authors focusing on different aspects of (potential) cooperation between the European Union (EU) and Japan, and linked to a number of academic activities carried out since 2006. Two of the three editors, Paul Bacon and Hidetoshi Nakamura, are Deputy Directors of the European Union Institute in Japan at Waseda University, and the third, Hartmut Mayer, is affiliated with Oxford. Of the remaining 13 authors four come from Waseda and the rest belong to the universities of Berlin, British Columbia, Brussels, Canterbury, Helsinki, LSE and Turku; one contributor is an official at the European Commission.
