ELIPSS : how to maintain participation in a probability based internet panel

Abstract

This talk will present the ELIPSS panel, and specifically focus on the survey methodology and procedures we built over the years. One of our key points, and challenge, is to maintain a regular survey participation and to limit attrition. Over the years, the ELIPSS team has set up an array of panel managements tools that have made possible to handle more than three thousand panelists, their tablets and 4G connexion with only two panel managers. These efforts to maintain the panel seem to be positive: the response rate is between 80 and 93% each month and the attrition rate is moderate (less than 25% after 40 months).
