Pauvreté et droits humains

Abstract : Human rights, particularly economic, social and cultural rights, have, since the 1980s, assumed an important part in the study of the causes of poverty and methods used to reduce it. Nevertheless, there has not been a noticeable decline in human rights abuses. One example is the massive agricultural land grabs in the poorest nations of the world. It is clear that voluntary principles are insufficient. However, imposition of a right to food offers an opportunity for local communities and their supporters.
