Premières leçons d’une « drôle » de transition en République centrafricaine

Abstract : First Lessons of a « Funny » Transition in the Central African Republic
Despite nearly two years of international military presence the situation in CAR is hardly stabilized. The international community seems unable or unwilling to grasp the very nature of the crisis and underplays its deep historical roots as well as the intense destruction of the CAR social fabric. By getting to elections as early as possible, it also avoids questioning the status of a predatory elite that has been challenged by the crisis and a complex regional web of conflicts that allow armed groups to proliferate in CAR.
