Europäische Gessellschaften: Konvergenzen und Divergenzen
Abstract
Convergence in the sense of standardisation and harmonisation has always been a constitutive political paradigm for the European Union to enable it to lead European societies to greater unity, prosperity and solidarity. The benefit of this for economic and monetary fields, trade or climate protection is obvious. This interdisciplinary volume, which is addressed to researchers, students and also politicians and other readers interested in this subject, questions this convergence paradigm in a constructive manner: Which dynamics exist in the processes of Europeanisation that have led to divergence? What potential might have been released thereby? Which mechanisms steer these processes? (Book abstract, by publisher)
