L' altra rivoluzione. Dal Sessantotto al femminismo

Abstract : The studies on the Italian feminist movement are still quite incomplete, and this volume is filling a major gap, related to its organizational and intellectual origins. We are in Trento, city where the first Italian faculty of Sociology was founded, also known as one of the main symbols of the Italian ’68 movement. However, in the same years Trento became also one of the neuralgic centres of another revolution, that of feminism. The research reconstructs the forgotten history of this “other revolution” adopting an interdisciplinary gaze, mixing women history and sociology of social movements. Based on a three years research, the book sketches the lost map of the Italian feminist movement, mixing local, national, and transnational levels of mobilization. The rich corpus of interviews (40) with activists, intellectuals, key informants dialogues with the archival research, putting together personal memories and documents.
