La consommation au XXe siècle : enquêtes, savoirs, pratiques

Abstract : This paper presents the content of a special issue focusing on consumption and budget surveys. Three different strands of the literature have been considering this topic. This issue intends to capture how consumers count and consume, but also the methods and knowldge they have developed to access consumers' practices, more specifically as mass consumption was developing. Two documents are presented in this issue. This issue highlights the richness of existing studies but it also intends to reinvigorate sociological and historical interest in consumption surveys.
