Militantismes libertaire et féministe face aux violences sexuelles : Le cas de la gauche radicale de Göttingen

Abstract : Sexual assaults do not interest very much the sociology of social movements. Yet, particularly in radical-left-wing movements, they often spark heated debates between activists. This article focuses on the denunciations of rapes which happened between 1989 and 2007 amidst Göttingen's radical left activists (Germany). It deals with the way feminists publicize and politicize these rapes, and with the resistances feminists meet. It shows that the 2000s were a turning point for feminist strategies and that this goes with a change of their interpretative frame: in the 1990s feminists had a materialist interpretative frame and an offensive strategy, whereas since the 2000s their interpretative frame is influenced by the queer theory and their strategy focuses on pedagogy.
