L'évaluation au Parlement français: l'heure des choix

Abstract : Following the LIEPP’s Working paper n°80, this Policy Brief reviews the activities of the French Parliament in the area of public policy evaluation for ten years. The efforts made, especially by the Assemblée nationale, are far from negligible. However, the quality and the importance of the evaluations done stay below the expectations of the Constituent in 2008. Nevertheless, very recently, new initiatives have appeared and suggest a second act of parliamentary evaluation. This assumes a reinforcing of the assemblies’ internal tools and external collaboration.
