Une résistance à l'Europe inattendue ? : l'euroscepticisme en Turquie

Abstract : This article offers an analysis of a new phenomenon in Turkey: the rise of Euroscepticism. Based on Eurobarometers and national polls, it analyzes the Turkish Eurosceptics profilesand confronts the phenomenon of Euroscepticism in Turkey to the important models of analysis of attitudes towards Europe to propose elements of interpretation. In this perspective, it emphasizes the economical logic and the evolution of the context,as well as the cultural identity, like the "Turkey syndromes", marked by the weight of history and memory, to explain the increasing Turkish resistance to Europe.
